Teaching English to Young Learners
In many parts of the world, teaching the English language to young learners is one of the fastest growing areas of the TEFL industry. In order to meet this increasing demand for teachers who specialise in this area, we offer our Certificate in Teaching English to Young Learners course (CTEYL).
Even though this form of teaching still follows many of the same basic principles as teaching adult learners, there are many skills and techniques that are necessary in order to deliver a successful language program for younger learners of different ages. With this in mind, we have designed our CTEYL course to target these specific areas so you will feel confident with your ability to provide the best possible learning environment for your future young students.
One of the unique factors with teaching younger students is the fact that they are often not in the classroom by choice, unlike the majority of adult learners. Throughout this course we look at the different methods you can employ in order to keep your students interested and motivated during lessons and how to make the learning experience an enjoyable one.
